Frederik Buyckx was born in 1984 in Antwerp. He obtained a master's degree in advertising design from St-Lucas Antwerp and studied photography at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Ghent until 2013. In 2010 he became a freelance photographer and has since worked for national and international media. As a documentary photographer, he also focuses mainly on his personal projects: 'Jesus, Make-Up and Football', 'Horse Head' and 'WOLF'. In his most recent projects he continues to investigate the relationship between people, animals and nature. His work won several international prizes and was published in a book by Hannibal and Lannoo publishers.
