Stil Leven - Still Life

Inspired by the 1953 photo book De Ramp (The Disaster), the Droom en Daad Foundation, led by Wim Pijbes, asked six talented young photographers from Rotterdam to capture their city during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Khalid Amakran, Loes van Duijvendijk, Willem de Kam, Geisje van der Linden, Marwan Magroun and Naomi Modde each created a photo series that shows the unprecedented impact of the coronavirus on the city. The national measures relating to COVID-19 have had a major impact on daily life. The six photographers focus on capturing this in images.

This book, with text by Wilfried de Jong, is a unique and universal photographic document of the impact of the pandemic on a major city.
