Lieve Blancquaert studied film and photography at KASK Ghent and has worked as a freelance photographer for various newspapers and magazines since 1985. Blancquaert's work is full of social commitment and the fight against injustice, especially against women. She has already worked for Kom op tegen Kanker, Oxfam Fair Trade and Plan International. She created and contributed to about 20 fascinating books. Blancquaert has exhibited her work several times in different places.
